Project Profile:
Expanding the profile of community development: Throughout 2006, Los Angeles LISC worked with a variety of partners on policy initiatives to nurture a climate of support for community development. LISC staff worked with a coalition of housing advocates and others on a campaign for a $1 billion housing bond, which almost reached the 67 percent threshold required for approval. This has led to renewed efforts to pursue the dedication of Housing Trust Funds in Los Angeles County.
