State Farm Insurance Companies

State Farm Insurance Companies continues to support LISC’s efforts to help community developers bring thriving commercial corridors, safer streets, quality community facilities, and increased educational and employment opportunities to economically distressed neighborhoods across the country.

State Farm’s initial $25 million commitment to LISC in 2000 ($8 million in grant funds and $17 million in low-interest loan capital) has already helped attract $180 million in financing from other investors for the construction and renovation of 870,000 square feet of non-residential and mixed-use projects including stores, businesses, schools, health care facilities, and child care centers.

Stanley R. Ommen, President and CEO of State Farm Bank, serves on LISC’s Board of Directors. In addition, nine State Farm representatives serve on LISC Local Advisory Committees across the country.
